Wedding Invitations - The Most Important Invitation Of Your Life
admin - Nov - 19th

Weddings are sacred, emotional, celebratory, and eternally significant to the couple getting married. For those reasons, wedding invitations are more important than other types of invitations. Birthdays happen every year, anniversaries are like icing on the cake, Christmas comes around once per year, and the others are all annual holidays.

A wedding, however, stands alone in that it happens on a single day of the year, and the effects last a lifetime ? and probably beyond. Besides the wedding cake, flower arrangements, wedding wear, caterers, location, and choice of a wedding planner, the wedding invitations are extremely important.

Custody Over Christmas?
admin - Nov - 5th

Of all the decisions you’ll have to make about custody, custody over the holidays is one of the more difficult ones. Here are some ideas on that topic so that the children and both parents win.

When you’re divorced, “who gets the kids for the holidays” is always a challenge. In the beginning, it’s very upsetting to both the divorced parents as well as the children. The holidays have only so much time available, and it’s tough to accommodate everyone involved.

The Christmas Tree
admin - Apr - 21st

Traditionally, the Christmas tree was not put up until 24th December, Christmas Eve, and it was taken down on 6th January, 12th Night. The Germans used to put their tree up on Christmas Eve and take it down on 1st January, once the New Year celebrations were over. However, modern commercialism dictates that a lot of trees now go up as early as the first or second week in December. This has been made possible by the fact that a lot of people use artificial trees - to bring a real fir or pine tree indoors that early would result in falling needles and half bare branches by Christmas Day.

English Christmas
admin - Mar - 14th

English Christmas seems to start as soon as Halloween is over - that is not to say that there are no Christmas decorations, cards etc. in the shops before then. Part of an English Christmas is seeing Christmas goods in the shops from early September onwards. The retail trade starts getting restless once the August Bank Holiday is over and each year we play the game ‘who can spot the first Christmas goods in the shops’.

Nothing Gets You In The Holiday Spirit Like Christmas Music
admin - Mar - 12th

When it comes to Christmas and the holidays, nothing quite gets you in the mood to celebrate the way that music does. All it takes is that certain song to trigger a memory and you’re back in the kitchen with Grandma making sugar cookies or helping your Dad tug the pine tree through the door that seems to get smaller every year. What about the year that Brother buried himself and his sled into that huge snowdrift? They were all good times filled with hot chocolate and Christmas music shared in the kitchen and around the fireplace.
